Arrow Air Conditioning had the reviews and the workmanship, but its website was close to invisible in search. In June 2023 the site ranked for just 55 keywords on page one and drew an estimated 62 organic visits a month — in a category where homeowners search the moment their system fails.
Heating and cooling is a crowded local market. The national brands and the big multi-trade operators hold the head terms, and they have years of links behind them. Without authority of its own, Arrow had no way into those results.
Keyword research and mapping. We started by mapping every service and service area to the searches customers actually make — installation, repairs, servicing and brand-specific queries — so each page had a clear job and links would land on pages built to convert.
Technical audit. A full technical review made sure there was nothing holding the site back before we pointed authority at it: indexation, internal linking and the on-page basics that let Google understand which page answers which query.
Monthly link building. From there, Four Dots ran a monthly link-building campaign — relevant, editorially placed links pointed at the homepage and the priority service pages — with a report every month showing where each link went and what moved.
Over the twelve months to June 2024, estimated organic traffic grew from 62 to 933 visits a month — roughly 15×. Keywords ranking in Google’s top 10 rose from 55 to 635, and the total number of ranked keywords grew from 655 to 3,312.
Because those rankings are for service searches, the traffic carries commercial weight: its estimated value rose from $122 to $1,532 a month — what the same clicks would cost in Google Ads.
